Katie Pyne is an LA-based director, writer and producer with 12 years of experience in film, TV, broadcast and digital media. Her directorial work includes narrative, social impact documentary, reality and music videos. She’s directed over 70 ads for global lifestyle and auto brands, and helmed campaigns for the likes of Adidas, Google & Toyota. The social impact docuseries she created for Hyundai received Gold Internationalist and Summit Emerging Media awards.
While at CNN Documentaries she received a Peabody for coverage of the BP Gulf Oil Spill as part of "New Orleans Rising with Soledad O’Brien." She also worked on "Generation Islam with Christiane Amanpour," "Rescued: Children of Haiti," "Latino in America" and more, earning her multiple CINE Golden Eagles, an Edward R. Murrow and Imagen Award. As a network producer at Discovery Science Channel, Pyne worked on shows like "Prophets of Science Fiction With Ridley Scott," "Alien Encounters" and "The Unexplained Files." She also produced video presentations and live panels for thousands of fans at Comicon, Upfronts and other industry showcases.
